Hobo RXW-LWA-xxx
HOBOnet leaf wetness sensor, a complete system requires at least one Hobo RX3000 monitoring station with a HOBOnet wireless manager (RXMOD-RXW-xxx) or one Hobo MicroRX station (which has an integrated HOBOnet wireless manager).
The HOBOnet leaf wetness sensor (RXW-LWA-xxx) provides precise and reliable leaf wetness data, ideal for various agricultural and research applications. Unlike traditional sensors, this sensor requires no painting or coating, thanks to its capacitive grid design, which is less sensitive to surface residues. It is preconditioned for long-term stability, ensuring consistent measurements across multiple sensors.
Key Features:
- No Painting/Coating Required: The sensor is preconditioned and ready for deployment, eliminating the need for additional preparation.
- Capacitive Grid Technology: Offers superior resistance to surface residues compared to resistive grid-based sensors, ensuring accurate data collection.
- Long-Term Stability: Preconditioned for reliable, consistent measurements over time.
- Wireless Communication: Uses 900 MHz wireless mesh self-healing technology with a signal range of 450 to 600 meters, extendable up to five hops using HOBOnet wireless repeaters (RXW-RPTR-xxx or RXW-RPTR-B-xxx).
- Easy Integration: Communicates directly with the Hobo RX3000 or Hobo MicroRX station, or relays data through other wireless sensors to the base station.
- User-Friendly Deployment: Preconfigured and easy to install with a simple button push to join the HOBOnet wireless network.
- Data Access: Data is easily accessible through HOBOlink, Onset’s cloud-based software platform.
- Power Supply: Powered by rechargeable AA batteries and a built-in solar panel, ensuring continuous operation in outdoor environments.
- Durable Design: Built to withstand outdoor conditions with 3 meters of cable and a mounting bracket included.
Applications:
- Agriculture: Monitor leaf wetness for optimizing irrigation and preventing diseases.
- Research: Collect accurate leaf wetness data for studies in plant pathology and crop management.
- Greenhouses: Ensure optimal growing conditions by monitoring leaf wetness in controlled environments.
This sensor is an essential tool for anyone needing reliable leaf wetness data in agricultural or research settings. The Hobo RXW-LWA-xxx supports the measurement of leaf wetness and integrates seamlessly with your existing Hobo RX network, ensuring no data loss with its onboard memory.
