What is a gas sensor?
A gas sensor detects gas and converts its current concentration into an electrical signal that can be used by a controller or display.
Industrial gas sensor
Gases are measured in a range of sectors such as industry, science, ventilation technology, hospitals, agriculture, the automotive industry and laboratories, in fact, in any environment where gases need to be measured to protect people and the environment.
Among frequently measured gases are CO, CO2, O2, %LEL, VOC, H2S and NH3. Whether you need to monitor combustible gases and the risk of explosion, hazardous substances or CO2, we can supply a suitable gas sensor. For industrial use, we have portable handheld meters as well as fixed setups linked to monitoring systems. A monitoring system not only lets you keep a record of the measured values, it also lets you respond in the event of imminent danger.
Pedak has gas sensors from the German brand ADOS. ADOS has led innovation in gas warning devices and environmental protection for over 100 years.
Non-industrial gas sensor
The ambient conditions in classrooms, offices and care facilities often fail to meet statutory standards. This can result in tiredness, poor concentration and people may even feel unwell. Rooms must be ventilated regularly to ensure people feel comfortable.
Proper climate control is not only about temperature and humidity; it is also about ensuring sufficient ventilation to regulate CO2 levels.
Pedak’s gas sensors can be connected to a range of equipment. If, for example, a gas sensor is connected to a data logger on your ventilation system, the ventilation can be switched on or off whenever a deviating measurement value is detected, so over or under ventilation is no longer an issue.
