Thermowells are protection tubes for mounting and changing sensors during the process. The temperature sensor is placed inside the thermowell, which is mounted on the measurement location. When the sensor is detached, the thermowell tube ensures a permanent seal of the process. In addition, the thermowell provides additional protection for the temperature sensor against aggressive or highly abrasive media.
This series is ideal in combination with the sensors from series 150, 170 and 700. The precision tube of stainless steel-316 is welded to an upper part with screw thread in various internal or external thread versions. Made of stainless steel, available in many dimensions, process connections, sizes and wall thicknesses. Also available as a ”welded-in” model, or made of solid material ”bar-stock”.
