Hobo RXW-T11-xxx – Onset
HOBOnet T11 soil moisture and soil temperature sensor, a complete system requires at least one Hobo RX3000 monitoring station with a HOBOnet wireless manager (RXMOD-RXW-xxx) or one Hobo MicroRX station (which has an integrated HOBOnet wireless manager).
The HOBOnet T11 is a wireless sensor designed for the HOBOnet system, providing accurate measurements of soil moisture (volumetric water content) and soil temperature. Built to withstand harsh environmental conditions, this durable sensor can remain in the field for up to 10 years, ensuring long-term, reliable data collection. The sensor features sharpened stainless-steel probes for easy installation, even in hard soil, and covers a large volume of influence, delivering more precise soil moisture readings.
Key Features:
- Soil Moisture & Temperature Measurement: Accurately measures both soil moisture (volumetric water content) and soil temperature within a single device.
- Long-Lasting Durability: Designed to last up to 10 years in the field, making it ideal for extended monitoring periods.
- Advanced Technology: Utilizes 70MHz frequency capacitance technology to minimize the effects of salinity and soil texture.
- Easy Installation: Sharpened stainless-steel probes ensure simple installation and durability, even in challenging soil conditions.
HOBOnet System Advantages:
- Scalable Wireless Monitoring: Ideal for crop management, research, and greenhouse operations, enabling easy deployment across multiple points without the hassle of long cables.
- Reliable Data Access: Data can be accessed remotely via the HOBOlink web service, Onset’s cloud-based software platform.
- Robust Communication: Operates on a 900 MHz wireless mesh self-healing network with a range of 450 to 600 meters, extendable with wireless repeaters.
- Battery-Powered & Solar-Powered: The sensor is powered by rechargeable AA batteries and includes a built-in solar panel for continuous operation.
Recommended Accessory:
- Verification Clip (TEROS-CLIP): To ensure measurement accuracy, we recommend using the TEROS-CLIP. This clip allows for quick verification of the sensor’s accuracy without needing to perform soil tests, providing peace of mind that your sensor is functioning correctly.
Applications:
- Agriculture: Optimize irrigation and monitor soil conditions to improve crop yields.
- Environmental Research: Collect long-term soil moisture and temperature data for environmental studies.
- Greenhouse Operations: Ensure optimal growing conditions by accurately monitoring soil moisture and temperature.
The Hobo RXW-T11-xxx sensor is a robust, long-lasting solution for those needing precise, real-time data on soil moisture and temperature, ensuring your crops or research projects have the best possible outcomes.
