Optris Bottom up Glass Inspection System (GIS)
New Glass Inspection System (GIS) from Optris, infrared temperature measurement in the production of Low-E glass.
With the new Glass Inspection System (GIS) from Optris, there is a new way for infrared temperature measurement in the production of Low-E glass. This makes it possible to quickly detect differences in temperature, avoiding rejections and allowing automatic quality control. Low-emission glass presents a major challenge for infrared equipment that traditionally measures the glass temperature from above when the windows are removed from the oven.
The combination of two VGA infrared cameras with a maximum field of view of 1110 results in an excellent 1600 pixels lines scan resolution and a maximum scanning width of 4.3 meters.
An ultra-fast CTlaser 4M pyrometer with 90 µs exposure, combined with the Digitally Controlled Lens Protection System (DCLP), is a reliable protection mechanism of both infrared cameras in the event of glass breakage. In addition, automatic emissivity corrections are made for standard and low-E glass. This system has been specially developed for process control in glass-hardening machines.
Important Specifications:
- Compact bottom up system for bottom up measurement which coating operates independently
- Integrated ultra-fast glass breakage detection combined with a digitally controlled lens protection system (DCLP) eliminating the need for additional air purification
- Glass surface calculation
- Pre-assembled system for easy installation on glass curing furnaces
- Automatic scan line adjustment – impervious to disturbances
